In addition to Elephant, Antelope, Zebra, Wildebeest, Buffalo and the elusive Leopard, nearly every vista within the Park is framed by majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

DAY 01, June 03, 2019 | Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park

Wake early for the best morning view you've ever experienced on a majestic game drive through the Amboseli National Park. Experience Amboseli, meaning “salty dust” in Masai, like few ever have. Despite Amboseli’s sometimes dry and dusty appearance, it has an endless supply of water filtered through thousands of feet of volcanic rock from Mt. Kilimanjaro’s snow melt. These underground streams converge into clear fresh water springs in the heart of the park. The powder like dust is volcanic ash, which was thrown from Kilimanjaro millennia ago.

The main attraction of Amboseli is its vast herds of elephant within the park. The bull elephants here have some of the largest tusks in Kenya.

Early morning and late afternoon photographic opportunities are incredible, with plentiful game to watch and Mt. Kilimanjaro providing an impressive and majestic backdrop to the entire experience.

While you enjoy a day of breath-taking game drives, you'll also have the opportunity to visit a Local School and Masai Village.

After a day you'll never forget at Amboseli National Park, you'll stay close-by at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

DAY 01, June 04, 2019 | Lake Manyara
Lake Manyara

TRIP DETAILS
TRIP LEADER(S)
Troy Nash

Troy realized early in life education was the only way out of poverty and off the streets. With the help of the G.I. Bill, scholarships, and government loans, he was able to get an education. Nash earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wesley College while serving on active duty in the United States Air Force; participating in both Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm during the war with Iraq. When he returned to Kansas City, Nash attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City earning a master’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in economics while working in underprivileged communities on the city’s Eastside. Nash then attended the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law earning a JD degree and the Bloch School of Management earning a master’s in business administration degree while working to encourage hundreds of inner city residents to return to school. As a successful and prominent business man in the Kansas City community, he served on the City Council and has served the community in many ways. Dr. Nash also serves on the Board of Directors of People to People International (PTPI). Realizing the importance of uniting ordinary citizens from different countries to foster understanding and respect, U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower launched the President’s People to People Program on September 11, 1956 as part of the United States Information Agency. The program emphasizes personal diplomacy and non-governmental contacts between people. Through PTPI and other organizations, Dr. Nash has studied international relations, business, economics, foreign policy and law around the world. He has led or been part of professional delegations around the world. More than a collection of achievements, Dr. Nash strives to be a positive force for good in the world. Nash is a professional member of the National Speakers Association, President of the Kansas City Chapter of NSA, and member of the Board of Directors of the National Speakers Association. Dr. Nash recognizes life is made up of both challenges and opportunities. Whether it’s motivating organizations and individuals to go after their dreams by increasing personal and professional productivity, or working to better the lives of communities through profitable real ventures, or promoting cross cultural understanding around the world, Dr. Troy Nash remains committed to doing what he can to make the world a better place.
